Dave not only walks away from the church and God but also adds to the frustration of his son Steven as he watches his father’s actions.
The film displays how we cannot fix others around us when it comes to faith, and that each person can only make decisions for themselves when it comes to their beliefs in God.
When someone falls by the wayside, the only thing a person can do is pray and trust that God will help that person through their struggles.
It is a moving story about faith, love and the power of prayer along with the knowledge that God has a plan for us even though we don’t always understand why things happen the way they do.
